3-minute Thesis Competiton
The Three Minute Thesis is an international competition for higher degree research students (e.g. Honours/Masters/Ph.D.) undertaking research (at any level) to showcase it in plain language that is understandable and engaging to the general public. Students will present their research to an audience for 3 minutes with only a single PowerPoint slide to aid them. Students chosen for this competition will need to have proficiency in public speaking and a research topic strongly pertaining to the theme of APW.

APW Scholarships
The objective of the scholarship is to:
  • Award students who demonstrate outstanding academic ability and interest in contributing to Asia-Pacific related discussions and debates
  • Ensure that a diverse range of students from low socio-economic backgrounds are given the opportunity to attend the APW Conference 
 
Eligibility:
  • Is an overseas applicant (note: students from IARU universities are also eligible to apply)
  • The scholarship is available to students who come from a low socio-economic background who can provide sufficient evidence of financial difficulty 
  • Can demonstrate a history of excellent academic performance by providing an academic reference 
 
Benefits: 
 
The scholarship will provide a lump sum amount to help with covering some of the costs incurred in flights and visa application.
