Zoe is one of the 2017 committee's Media and Marketing Coordinators.
She is in her final year of a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Asian Studies degree, with majors in Anthropology and minors in Japanese Language and Sociology.
She is most intrigued by transdisciplinary approaches to the people-movement and cultural aspects of globalisation within the Asia-Pacific region, whether that involves analysing the development of diaspora food cultures, the influence of rural-to-urban migration on Chinese familial relationships, or exploring the spread of Japanese and Korean pop culture throughout the region.
Zoe has just returned from a semester abroad studying at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, and can now play "Sakura" on the shamisen (albeit poorly). In her spare time, she likes getting involved in student theatre, singing, travel, and photography.
