Tammy is the Director of Asia Pacific Week 2015. She is undergoing a double degree at the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Asia Pacific Studies, majoring in Japanese language and North East Asian Studies.
Tammy’s Korean background and learning about the ability of Korea’s writing system (Hangul) to empower in both political and social contexts developed into a wider fascination with the dynamics of the North East Asian region. This fascination broadened once again into an avid interest in the diversity of Asia’s cultures, religions, languages, social norms, history and political structures.
This is Tammy’s third year being involved with Asia Pacific Week, and the unorthodox themes and brilliant international delegates keep her coming back. When she is not doing law readings or in class (which is often) she can be found at the nearest café or bar enjoying a beverage with friends and keen to learn from conversation.
